Tarihsel sosyolojik yöntemin tarihsel gelişimi ve bir örnek olarak Norbert Elias’ın sosyoloji anlayışı

| dc.description.abstract | Sociology is in intensive relationship with many disciplines in the field of social sciences. The relationship between sociology and the discipline of history has always been intense. In this study, answers to the questions of what historical sociology is, how it has developed in a historical development and what is the relationship between history-sociology and historical sociology are sought. Although the historical sociological approach has its roots in the works of classical sociologists such as Weber, Toennies and Durkheim, the contribution of the tradition known as the Annales School has helped to find its own identity. Especially the period between 1940-1980, when the historical sociological literature was formed, is the period when historical sociology increased its visibility. Names such as Abrams, Mills and Tilly have been prominent in this period. However, the work of sociologist Norbert Elias is evaluated in this article as a concrete example produced with a historical sociological approach. Ultimately, this study argues that historical sociology should be considered as a methodological approach within the discipline of sociology. In this direction, it is argued that the historical sociological approach should be evaluated in six basic elements. These are continuity, transition, comparison, process, interaction, and structural analysis. This study is completed by exemplifying how these elements are manifested in Elias' sociology. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Sosyoloji sosyal bilimler alanında birçok disiplinle yoğun ilişki içerisindedir. Bunlardan tarih disipliniyle sosyolojinin ilişkisi her zaman yoğun olmuştur. Bu çalışmada tarihsel sosyoloji nedir, nasıl bir tarihsel gelişimde gelişmiştir, tarih ve sosyoloji disiplinlerinin tarihsel sosyoloji ile arasındaki ilişki nasıldır sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Tarihsel sosyolojik yaklaşımın kökeni Weber, Tönnies, Durkheim gibi klasik sosyologların çalışmalarında yer edinmiş olsa da Annales Okulu olarak bilinen geleneğin katkısı tarihsel sosyolojinin kendi hüviyetini bulmada yardımcı olmuştur. Özellikle tarihsel sosyolojik literatürün de oluştuğu 1940-1980 yılları arasındaki dönem, tarihsel sosyolojinin görünürlüğünü arttırdığı zaman dilimidir. Abrams, Mills, Tilly gibi isimler bu tarih aralığında öne çıkan isimler olmuştur. Fakat burada sosyolog Norbert Elias’ın çalışmaları, tarihsel sosyolojik yaklaşımla üretilmiş somut örnek olarak makale kapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Nihayetinde bu çalışma tarihsel sosyolojinin sosyoloji disiplini içerisinde yöntemsel bir yaklaşım olarak değerlendirilmesi savını ileri sürmektedir. Bu doğrultuda tarihsel sosyolojik yaklaşımın süreklilik, değişim, karşılaştırma, süreç, etkileşim ve yapısal çözümleme olmak üzere altı temel unsurda değerlendirilmesi gerekliliği vurgulanmış ve söz konusu unsurların somut bir örnek olarak Elias sosyolojisinde nasıl tezahür ettikleri üzerinde durulmuştur | |
