In addition to many techniques, multi-criteria decision making methods and fuzzy logic have been implemented to handle the uncertainties and assess the risks. In this study, a fuzzy MARCOS method, which is a recent multi-criteria decision making method, is applied in the road risk analysis study. Trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are adapted to express the fuzziness in linguistic expressions. 38 alternative sections are evaluated for risk according to six criteria. The results of the proposed method are compared to the results of the triangular fuzzy MARCOS method in the literature. It is observed that the eight ranks with the highest risk in the rankings of the alternatives of two fuzzy methods are preserved. It is aimed that this study increases the use of fuzzy MARCOS method in multi-criteria decision making studies. © 2021 IEEE.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessMARCOSmulti-criteria decision makingroad risk evaluationtrapezoidal fuzzy numbersRanking Triangular and Trapezoidal Fuzzy MARCOS Methods on Road RiskConference Object10.1109/RTSI50628.2021.95973673703752-s2.0-85123189739
